The reason why they pick up their stuff and move to France is because Sandra's mom dies. Now they want to work on their marriage and try to get over things from their past. Infidelity and other things resurfaced, which caused a lot of pain in their relationship. All these things rise to the surface in this model, and it isn't long before they have to find a way to navigate through the pain to rekindle their love.
